Command Executing On-screen Keyboard Stamper Version 2.1

Features

• Stamper is a kind of on-screen keyboard. You can assign command lines to each cell. When you click the cell, Stamper runs the command lines.
• xdotool is supposed to be used in the command line. It sends a text to the window in focus.
• Each cell has a tooltip to show its definition.
• Stamper runs on Ubuntu.
  
• You can use Stamper for free.
  

Getting Started

• Run Stamper
  The initial window appears.
  
  
• There are two groups of cells in the window.
  The cells on the left side of the window are in the tabbed page.
  The cells on the right side of the window are always visible for frequent use.
• You can add and remove cells and pages.
  
• All the cells have the same functionality.
• You can drag the boundary to the left or right.
  
  
• Edit Cell
  1. Right-click on the cell that you want to edit.
     The following menu pops up.
     
  2. Select the Edit Cell menu item.
     The Edit Cell window appears.
     
     

     Label:

     Type what you want to see on the cell.
     

     Image File:
     

     Specify the file name of the image displayed on the cell.
     The image is displayed on the left of the label.
     

     Tooltip:
     

     Specify a tooltip text.
     

     Command Lines:
     

     Specify command lines to execute. They are executed sequentially.

     xdotool type --delay 60 100-1234

     writes "100-1234" to the window in focus. xdotool is supposed to be installed beforehand.
     Useful keywords of xdotool are shown in the context menu for easy entry when entering a command line.
     

  3. Click OK.
     The cell is updated.
     
     
• Change Tab Label
  
1. Click on the tab area.
   The following menu pops up.
   
2. Select the Change Tab Label menu item.
   The Edit Tab Label window appears.
   
   Enter an appropriate label and click OK.
   
   
• Notes:
• Stamper's main window is always inactive.
• Stamper creates the file ".stamper2" in your home directory. The settings are saved to it, and restored at the next launch.

Download and Install

1. Download the following files.
   

   stamper_2.1.2_all.deb	Package file
   pics.tar.gz	Picture files:

2. Double-click on the downloaded file stamper_2.1.2_all.deb.
   Ubuntu Software starts and shows stamper.
3. Click on the Install button there.
   Stamper is installed.

• To uninstall Stamper, launch Ubuntu Software and find Stamper then click on the Remove button.
  In case Stamper is not found, try again after logout and login.
